A bridal company has unveiled a new wedding dress collection inspired by Disney’s most popular princesses.
Alfred Angelo today introduced its 2015 Disney Fairy Tale Weddings bridal collection, which includes dresses inspired by nine Disney princess characters, including a highly-anticipated bridal gown inspired by Elsa from the phenomenally popular animated musical Frozen.
The brand’s new collection is aimed at bride’s who are inspired by the whimsical fantasy of their favorite Disney films, but don’t want to walk down the aisle wearing something that looks like a design that has been taken straight from an animated movie.

Frozen: Bridal designer Alfred Angelo’s new Disney-inspired collection features a selection of beautiful themed wedding gowns, including this one, which was created in honor of Princess Elsa from Frozen
Snow queen: The character Elsa from Frozen (pictured), which has been named as the most popular animated movie ever made, inspired the icy blue gown featured in the collection
The dresses, which have been inspired by Cinderella, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Jasmine from Aladdin, Tiana from the Princess and the Frog, Snow White, Rapunzel from Tangled, and Ariel from the Little Mermaid, as well as Elsa, are showcased in a beautiful photoshoot, which sees each dress captured in a setting befitting the princess it represents.
And while all of the gowns have been created in a specific color that the designer feels best
Elsa’s dress is showcased by a blonde model in what appears to be a frost-covered room. The model has her hair pulled into a braid just like that worn by the Frozen character, and the icy blue coloring of the strapless gown mirrors that of the dress worn by Elsa throughout much of the movie.
For Cinderella, the model wearing the gown has been captured standing in front of a horse-drawn carriage, like that featured in the animated movie, and the recently-released live-action remake, both of which were created from a pumpkin by Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother.
The stroke of midnight: Cinderella’s dress (pictured) features the same full-skirted design worn by the iconic character herself
Sleeping Beauty: This dress, inspired by the beautiful Aurora, features a white beaded bodice and full pale pink skirt
Princess brides: The collection’s Cinderella dress features the same beautiful full skirt and beaded detailing as the gown worn by the character in the movie (L). The dress inspired by Sleeping Beauty (R) is showcased by a model who is sleeping on a bed of rose petals
Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora wears a white and pale pink gown, and is pictured sleeping on a bed of rose petals, while Jasmine, from Aladdin, can be seen lounging on a day bed in an indigo jumpsuit with beaded embellishments on the top half.
The modern design comes complete with a detachable train, sheer back yoke and crystal beading that gives it a feeling of luxury which is befitting an Arabian princess.
Ariel, from the Little Mermaid, is – unsurprisingly – pictured walking along a beach, with the waves in the background. Her sea-green strapless dress is inspired by the color of the animated character’s mermaid tail, while the model has the same red hair as the original animated Ariel.
The flared gown has been crystal-beaded throughout to sparkle like treasures from the deep, while the dramatic skirt has been layered with glitter net to shimmer like sunlight on the waves.
Take a look at Alfred Angelo’s Cinderella inspired collection
Modern woman: The wedding ensemble inspired by Aladdin’s Jasmine is actually a jumpsuit, which comes complete with a detachable train
Under the sea: This green strapless gown is inspired by Ariel from the Little Mermaid, and has been designed to give the impression of a mermaid tail
Inspiration: In the movie Aladdin, Jasmine (L) wears a pair of trousers, rather than a dress, inspiring designers to create a wedding jumpsuit in her honor, rather than a dress. The dress created for the Little Mermaid’s Ariel (R) is the same green color as her tail
The only 3D animation featured in the bridal line-up is Tangled, which was used to inspire the dress created in honor of its central character Rapunzel.
To showcase this particular design, the model can be seen posing in front of a stunning backdrop of floating lanterns, which, in the movie, are used to honor the birthday of the young Princess Rapunzel. In the shoot, the model wears the same purple shade showcased by Rapunzel throughout the film, while her hair is styled in the same floral braid as the character.
Princess Tiana, the first black princess ever to feature in a Disney animation and the star of the Princess and the Frog wears a green gown, no doubt inspired by the color of the amphibian that she transforms into not long after the start of the movie.
She can be seen posing up with a handsome suitor against a backdrop that reflects the bayou that Tiana and her frog-turned-prince travel through during the movie.
Let down your hair! Rapunzel’s gown has been inspired by the character from Disney’s Tangled. In the movie, the character wears a purple gown similar to this design, and showcases the same floral hairstyle
Kiss a frog, find a prince! Tiana from the Princess and the Frog wears the same shade of green in the movie, and the background of this shoot is also inspired by the swamp in which she spends much of her time as a small frog
A real-life princess: The Tangled dress, inspired by Rapunzel (L), features the same purple coloring as the movie character’s gown, while Tiana’s ensemble is green, just like the gown she wears to marry her handsome prince (R)
Snow White’s gown is the same beautiful red as the apple offered up to her by the Evil Queen, while Belle’s gown, inspired by the gold ensemble she wears for a romantic dinner with the Beast, features a number of floral embellishments on the full tulle skirt.
Chief Creative Officer and family member at Alfred Angelo, Michele Piccione, said of the designs: ‘Along with the silhouettes and embellishments of each gown, color gives us another way to bring the magic of Disney’s imagined storytelling to life and allow brides to express their individuality on their special day.’
Thus far the new collection has received an overwhelmingly positive response on social media, with Disney fans the world over taking to Twitter and Instagram to praise the dresses – and to choose which one they would wear when their big day comes around.
‘I love Disney everything and so these dresses are perfect for me!’ one person wrote, before adding: ‘I’m definitely going for Cinderella.’
Another added: ‘This Frozen dress is actually perfect.’

For Vancouver couple Emma and Greg Gavelis, Harry Potter has practically been a third member of their relationship.
They met on dating site Plenty of Fish in 2011 and immediately hit it off when Greg wrote on his profile that his perfect first date would be a “Harry Potter” marathon. Emma, who has two Harry Potter tattoos, was smitten.
Fast-forward to August 14, 2014 when the two Potterheads tied the knot at McMenamins Edgefield hotel in Troutdale, Oregon.

“Harry Potter has played such a big part in us falling in love, that it only seemed fitting to have it be a big part of our wedding and the rest of our love story,” Emma told The Huffington Post.
The pair’s budget for the big day was $5,000, so the bride tapped into her crafty side and DIYed many aspects of the celebration.
“I spent a lot of time watching ‘Game of Thrones’ re-runs while assembling everything,” Emma wrote in her Offbeat Bride blog post. “And it was totally worth it.”
Here are some of the cute and clever ways they incorporated their obsession into the day’s festivities:
Emma designed all of the wedding stationery herself in addition to making her bouquet, the boutonnieres, the ring box, some of the table decor, and more.
“I love to make things with my hands,” she told HuffPost. “It was definitely a labor of love. Plus, it was nice being able to customize every aspect and make sure it oozed Potter. We also couldn’t have afforded this wedding if I hadn’t made almost everything myself.”

When asked about her favorite wedding day memory, Emma said it was when she and Greg were standing at the altar and he started acting goofy.
“I looked at him, and he started pulling faces — just like he usually does,” she said. “It lightened the mood and made me feel so comfortable, and so sure I was marrying the right man.”
