A bridal company has unveiled a new wedding dress collection inspired by Disney’s most popular princesses.

Alfred Angelo today introduced its 2015 Disney Fairy Tale Weddings bridal collection, which includes dresses inspired by nine Disney princess characters, including a highly-anticipated bridal gown inspired by Elsa from the phenomenally popular animated musical Frozen.

The brand’s new collection is aimed at bride’s who are inspired by the whimsical fantasy of their favorite Disney films, but don’t want to walk down the aisle wearing something that looks like a design that has been taken straight from an animated movie.

The dresses, which have been inspired by Cinderella, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Jasmine from Aladdin, Tiana from the Princess and the Frog, Snow White, Rapunzel from Tangled, and Ariel from the Little Mermaid, as well as Elsa, are showcased in a beautiful photoshoot, which sees each dress captured in a setting befitting the princess it represents.

And while all of the gowns have been created in a specific color that the designer feels best

Elsa’s dress is showcased by a blonde model in what appears to be a frost-covered room. The model has her hair pulled into a braid just like that worn by the Frozen character, and the icy blue coloring of the strapless gown mirrors that of the dress worn by Elsa throughout much of the movie.

For Cinderella, the model wearing the gown has been captured standing in front of a horse-drawn carriage, like that featured in the animated movie, and the recently-released live-action remake, both of which were created from a pumpkin by Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother.

Princess brides: The collection’s Cinderella dress features the same beautiful full skirt and beaded detailing as the gown worn by the character in the movie (L). The dress inspired by Sleeping Beauty (R) is showcased by a model who is sleeping on a bed of rose petals

Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora wears a white and pale pink gown, and is pictured sleeping on a bed of rose petals, while Jasmine, from Aladdin, can be seen lounging on a day bed in an indigo jumpsuit with beaded embellishments on the top half.

The modern design comes complete with a detachable train, sheer back yoke and crystal beading that gives it a feeling of luxury which is befitting an Arabian princess.

Ariel, from the Little Mermaid, is – unsurprisingly – pictured walking along a beach, with the waves in the background. Her sea-green strapless dress is inspired by the color of the animated character’s mermaid tail, while the model has the same red hair as the original animated Ariel.

The flared gown has been crystal-beaded throughout to sparkle like treasures from the deep, while the dramatic skirt has been layered with glitter net to shimmer like sunlight on the waves.

The only 3D animation featured in the bridal line-up is Tangled, which was used to inspire the dress created in honor of its central character Rapunzel.

To showcase this particular design, the model can be seen posing in front of a stunning backdrop of floating lanterns, which, in the movie, are used to honor the birthday of the young Princess Rapunzel. In the shoot, the model wears the same purple shade showcased by Rapunzel throughout the film, while her hair is styled in the same floral braid as the character.

Princess Tiana, the first black princess ever to feature in a Disney animation and the star of the Princess and the Frog wears a green gown, no doubt inspired by the color of the amphibian that she transforms into not long after the start of the movie.

She can be seen posing up with a handsome suitor against a backdrop that reflects the bayou that Tiana and her frog-turned-prince travel through during the movie.

Let down your hair! Rapunzel's gown has been inspired by the character from Disney's Tangled. In the movie, the character wears a purple gown similar to this design, and showcases the same floral hairstyle

A real-life princess: The Tangled dress, inspired by Rapunzel (L), features the same purple coloring as the movie character’s gown, while Tiana’s ensemble is green, just like the gown she wears to marry her handsome prince (R)

Snow White’s gown is the same beautiful red as the apple offered up to her by the Evil Queen, while Belle’s gown, inspired by the gold ensemble she wears for a romantic dinner with the Beast, features a number of floral embellishments on the full tulle skirt.

Chief Creative Officer and family member at Alfred Angelo, Michele Piccione, said of the designs: ‘Along with the silhouettes and embellishments of each gown, color gives us another way to bring the magic of Disney’s imagined storytelling to life and allow brides to express their individuality on their special day.’

Thus far the new collection has received an overwhelmingly positive response on social media, with Disney fans the world over taking to Twitter and Instagram to praise the dresses – and to choose which one they would wear when their big day comes around.

‘I love Disney everything and so these dresses are perfect for me!’ one person wrote, before adding: ‘I’m definitely going for Cinderella.’

Another added: ‘This Frozen dress is actually perfect.’

Good morning trulovers!  I have oodles of inspiration coming up for you this week and especially if you are newly engaged, you will find lots of ideas and style to help you work out your wedding theme.

Here is the UK it has been a rather grey and rainy January so far, so I am loving today’s Snow Queen Wedding Inspiration from the South of France shot by Malvina Photo.  Inspired by the Disney film Frozen, Malvina Molnar and Amandine from Be Lovely created a styled shoot showcasing the elegance of a winter wedding, full of texture and delicate detailing.  Not to mention creating a winter wedding and snowy atmosphere in the South of France is quiet a challenge!

flower meadowqueen bridal crownthrough the window ring in iceMalvina and Amandine take us through the inspiration and process behind today’s wedding styled shoot: “We started planning this shot while it was still 30 degrees plus outside, so our need for fresh air and cold weather guided us through the elaboration of the theme… We quickly came up with some keywords and a color scheme: ice, frost, blue, white and silver. It can be tricky to pinpoint the right colors and items because you can quickly go into something Christmassy or choose a wrong shade of blue that feels more tropical than winter.

Now the obvious problem was that it rarely snows in Southern France, so finding the right location with the best winter feeling was key. We contacted Ute, the owner of the Château de Roquelune, as I knew the castle had an elegant orangery which, with its large windows, would perfectly let the cold winter light in.  And what better way to say queen than in her own winter wedding castle.

Charlotte had just opened her bridal shop Olympe when we got in touch with her. She chose three amazing dresses by designer Sarah Seven and we went on to create the queen’s crown to evoke ice and sparkle.

Cyril, our florist, played a major role in creating the throne scene with Amandine who  created the stationary and some decorative items like the snow globes and the snow stars on the glasses. They chose an opulent  white and blue theme with an abundance of flowers and plants, and a style at once modern and festive for the stationary. When going for a white theme, it is important to play with textures: we used mat, reflective, sparkly, furry, soft or translucent items on the table to avoid any impression of monotony.

evening bridedramatic bridal makeupdark snow queensnow queen comes

For the hair and make-up we decided to have two distinct styles: one by day and one by night, to give the bride a choice and also show that, yes, you can have two styles for your wedding! For the daytime, we chose romantic hairstyles with braids and we went a little bit over the top with accessories in the hair. Cyrille, our hairdresser, did an incredible job at creating sophisticated, but natural-looking updoes. For the evening, we did something more fashion-forward to go with the party mood! Finally, Caroline, the makeup artist,  created looks that can suit brides who like just to enhance their natural beauty and brides who want something more colorful.”

The shoot was created by local artists and if you feel the need for a theme tune listen to Ice Queen.

Nadia Meli-Disney's Frozen Inspiration-7

From a young age I dreamed of the perfect white wedding, and I don’t think I was alone. So today’s inspirational shoot is for all the little girls inside us who dream of a whimsical fairytale with a little bit of sparkle and of course a Prince Charming. Led by the talented Nadia Meli, who was over come with inspiration while watching Disney’s latest instalment, Frozen (which I have to admit I haven’t seen, but after seeing today’s pics, I defo will be checking it out). This gorgeous shoot takes inspiration from classic old-fashioned romance, and if you’re thinking of an on-trend all-white wedding, you’ll adore this…

There are two stand out elements that embody the enchanted fairy tale vision of  this beautiful shoot and they are the dress and the flowers. The incredible leaf embellished and swoon worthy dress, is from the Pronovias collection at Flamenco Munich  and the talent team behind the styling and flowers were Ivy & Olive.

There is a wonderfully  intimate atmosphere throughout the shoot that reminds me of the hidden world of Narnia, except these two didn’t just climb out of a wardrobe! The incredible location is Das Tegernsee in Germany and the mountainous region is simply stunning.

If your thinking of a minimalist white wedding, start with the stationery, you can get creative white shapes and motifs and add muted tones and ribbon to accessories.

It’s hard to deny that Disney makes the most memorable childhood movies ever.

Your life would have been totally empty without their magic, humor, and wisdom.

But as a kid, there might have been some feminist moments that went right over your head.

Like when Mulan fights in the war and proves women are just as strong and dependable as men.

Or when Ursula sneakily takes Ariel’s voice in The Little Mermaid, and proves that a woman’s voice is extremely important to the world.

How dare you silence me, sea creature!

Or maybe when Meg is attacked by a monster, and is extremely opposed to Hercules’ manly rescue.

It’s New York City’s Bridal Fashion Week,  and Disney Weddings staged a beautiful fashion show for the 2015 Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings by Alfred Angelo collection. The highlight of the show was the revealing of the brand new Elsa-inspired wedding dress. We got a sneak peek at the beautiful gown earlier with a hand drawn sketch, but now, we finally get to see the real thing. Take a look at the amazing dress below:

Elsa Wedding Dress

The dress features subtle layering of satin, tulle, glitter net and organza to give the gown a soft and airy feel. And in true Elsa fashion, the room was filled with frozen fractals all around as snow fell on the runway.

Want to get a behind-the-scenes look on how the fashion show came together? Watch and see some of the other dresses from the 2015 Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings by Alfred Angelo Collection, as well as the Frozen touches the team brought to the show. Seriously, where can we get can Olaf ice sculpture?
